Holiday in Castelrotto up close to the Seiser Alm in Italy

The largest high-altitude mountain pasture in Europe is one of the most striking landmarks of the south Tyrolean Dolomites. In summer numerous footpaths wend their way over the green expanse of the Seiser Alm. The rich flora is in full bloom between mid-June and mid-July and includes many rare varieties. In winter, the slopes of the Seiser Alm invite you to take part in traditional or cross-country skiing, snowboarding, sledging, riding on a horse-drawn sleigh and hiking through the snow. You will be astonished. The village of Castelrotto / Kastelruth is the main town of the Seiser Alm holiday region in Italy. Year-round Kastelruth is an ideal destination: in summer the footpaths, bike trails and hikes around Kastelruth beckon whilst in winter you’ll be drawn to the traditional and cross-country skiing opportunities at the nearby Seiser Alm.

Castelrotto in South Tyrol is the main town in the Schlern area noted for its decorated facades and its historical centre. Kastelruth also has the largest town centre in the Seiser Alm area. This lively village steeped in tradition with great charm and gastronomic variety will make for an unforgettable holiday.
